How many percent of Earth is water?
Did you know?
Our planet is often referred to as a floating rock in outer space. While it might look like a speck of round blob in the vast universe, it is more than just a useless rock, of course. Our planet is the only planet in our galaxy that is habitable by humans. Of course, there are still a lot of undiscovered galaxies but inside the Milky Way, Earth is the only known living planet. There is so much life thriving inside our planet, from planktons to humans. The vast majority of our surface is covered in water, which is one of the reasons why there is so much life here. Other planets in our galaxy have dry surfaces, with some even covered in toxic elements. We are able to survive, along with animals and plants, because we have many natural resources easily available for us. This is all made possible by our planet’s water supply.
